　　比如说，短语“close to home”
　　表面看起来的确有“离家很近”的意思

　　NO.1
　　close to home
　　如果有人跟你发生争执时说“close to home”，你可不要以为他说的是“吵不过想回家”。

　　close to home的意思，其实可以翻译为“affecting one personally and intimately/戳到痛点”。

　　美剧《破产姐妹》中就有这么一句，too close to home 是说事情触及痛处，形容让人切身体会的问题/事情。

　　因此，当和外国朋友沟通时，如果ta的某句话戳中你的伤心事，你便可以说“It hit close to home.”
